Littlest Vintage and Studio Lingo – Renew Adelaide
Renew Adelaide – innovative model brings vacant shop front to life
Renew Adelaide in Partnership with Steve Maras, Managing Director of Maras Group have come together to transform an iconic vacant shop front at 98 Prospect Road, Prospect into two buzzing creative businesses with a twist. “We had the Princess Collection Bridal House in this space for the last three years with the space only recently becoming available,” says Maras. While searching for a more permanent operator this was a great opportunity for Steve Maras to work with Renew Adelaide to quickly activate the space, giving Littlest Vintage and Studio Lingo a chance to showcase themselves.
The Renew Adelaide model of licensing access to empty spaces through short term, rolling agreements follows on from the successful Renew Newcastle intiative. The aim is to improve Adelaide’s status as a cultural hub, engage with communities, support urban renewal and enhance creative industries. Renew Adelaide is supported by The Australian Centre for Social Innovartion, Adelaide City Council, Maras Group, Kambitsis Group, Adelaide West End Assocation and Format Collective along with a large amount of invaluable community support. This is the first time they have ventured outside of the CBD.

Tritones – Kindermusik
Tritones music classes provides outstanding early childhood music & movement classes. Featuring Kindermusik Village (newborn to 18mths), Our Time (18mths-3yrs) & Imagine That (3yrs-5yrs) classes and piano lessons for older children & adults.
We at Tritones believe that all children are born musical. Research tells us that children learn best through music and movement, and most particularly while having fun! This is the basis of our classes.
Through the joy of music and age-appropriate activities, our developmental programs bring parents and children closer together, while helping each child develop a life-long love of music and of learning. Parents and their children are involved together in our classes, and encouraged to continue the experience at home.
Give your child the best start!
Through music, every area of learning is enhanced; physical, social, emotional, literacy/language, cognitive/reasoning and musical skills. Kindermusik also helps with developing listening skills, singing, imagination and kindy/school readiness.
‘Mr Geoff’ Driver who began Tritones in 2001 has had a passion for music from a very young age and says that ‘teaching Kindermusik is a work from the heart’.
Mr Geoff’ has again received a Kindermusik ‘Maestro’ award for being in the top 5% of Kindermusik businesses worldwide. Recently Tritones won awards for both the 2nd largest babies and 2nd largest toddlers programs in Australia/NZ.
Tritones has 3 Studio’s around Adelaide-AberfoylePark, Blackwood and Prospect. Classes run through school terms and holiday programs are run in July and January school holidays.

Christina’s Craft and Gifts
Christina’s Craft and Gifts
Christina’s Craft and Gifts is a specialty needlework shop located near the heart of Prospect. We carry a large range of embroidery threads, some of our customers say it is the best range in Adelaide. We stock those hard to find threads that some projects call for, as well as the basic stranded cottons and tapestry wools. In the shop you will also find all the other necessities for the avid embroiderer, such as specialty needlework fabrics, silk ribbons, kits, books on an array of embroidery techniques, charts, needles, charms, beads and needlework tools.
Embroidery style classes available Thursday and Saturday afternoons. The classes are mixed so you can just bring along whatever you wish to stitch or we can help design an orginal piece.

The business is owned and run by Monika, Rosemarie and Gunter Hanauer and we are all experienced stitchers. We are able to give advice and help to our customers, whether they are starting a new project or have a problem with a piece they are in the process of stitching. Rosemarie belongs to the Embroiderers Guild of South Australia and Gunter has won prizes at the Royal Show for his stitching. Monika is both an experienced embroiderer and a qualified dressmaker who can assist you with finishing your embroidery project. We all design our own projects which we self publish under the label of Primke Designs and an many get published in the Embroidery and Cross Stitch magazine.
There is also a range of over dyed threads, which we hand dye under the Primke Designs label. We also dye Stranded cotton, including Perle 5, 8 and 12. The paler shades of perle cotton are popular with people who create Hardanger embroidery. While the other shades are used for various surface embroidery techniques, modern canvas work and cross stitch. Quilters also find it a very good thread to use for embellishing their quilts.
Tyres and More
After 35 years in the business, there isn’t too much that Tony Pearce doesn’t know about tyres, suspension, car servicing, batteries, mags and more.
“We have succeeding in this competitive industry because of a few factors – we are independent, we have a national affiliation with more than 80 other outlets, we provide honest advice and we are reliable,” Tony said.
“When people rely on you to keep them safe on the roads with good shock absorbers, brakes and tyres, then they need to know you are committed to the highest quality of service and professionalism,” he said.
Tyres and More is the only company endorsed by the RAA in South Australia as Wheel Alignment Specialists.
Added to that, Tyres and More is one of the few Female Friendly Accredited businesses in the industry and Tony is mindful of the responsibility he has to female customers.
“Being Female Friendly means we consciously cater for female customers – explaining things in plain language, we are used and recommended by other women and we provide children friendly spaces with toys making visits to Tyres and More less stressful for mothers,” Tony said.
In the waiting area, Tony has set up a large plasma television, tea and coffee facilities plus the above-mentioned children’s space complete with small table and chairs, toys and books. There is also St Helen’s Park right next door for patrons to enjoy whilst waiting for tyres to be fitted.
Tyres and More Prospect are also certified to fit child restraints which comply with new national regulations.
“Many customers drop their car off in the morning, jump on a city-bound bus from the stop right out the front of our shop, and return after work to collect their newly serviced car – no hassles,” Tony said.
“We are always happy to provide competitive quotes and we are keen to win the work,” he said.
“Of course, seeing we are major sponsors of the North Adelaide Football Club, we do our very best for Rooster supporters,” he added.
Tyres and More at 35 Prospect Road have been there for 35 years for a reason – they provide outstanding, honest service and products at competitive prices with the highest level of technical expertise.
“We make buying tyres and car maintenance hassle free” Tony laughed.
